4-8pm, Sunday, July 7, 2013

Expect to park across the street (Doheny Park Road), to the southeast
on the corner of Domingo Ave. There is not enough room for the amount
of cars I expect on the restaurant / bar side of the street. The dirt parking
area and adjoining paved parking is part of the gigantic church that is there
across the street, and we will be able to keep all the cars together.

Gathering reminder: this coming Saturday in Cerritos at the Hometown
Buffet on South Street, just over 2 blocks East of 605.
I will try to be there shortly after 8 AM.
See you all bright and early! Need to figure how my Android battery app stopped working.

Eight friends, with seven LEAFs, enjoyed a great chat.
Kat, still weak, joined us for the first half, and had
some Kat-taters and bacon to keep up her energy.

At noon, we adjourned to the parking lot, where Allen
was going to try replacing the Cabin Air Filter in Tom's
car.

I just headed home, but driving slowed down to about
55 to have enough e-fuel to get home from the 70 mile
round trip excursion. Some very slow traffic also saved
some more energy. So, I was at LBW pulling into the
driveway, but driving 65 I would have not made it,
I believe.

Thanks to my great friends, as we near the end of three
years of Gatherings.

Aye for Gary...and a raise!
I vote the raise to be 300%
times $0.00 . . . . . that's how much?

Speaking of year 3 aniversary ... who's got the most time & miles in the So Cal area. Anybody? I'm at 30K miles, and 3 yrs next march

Gathering in Santa Ana this coming Saturday morning, 27 July,
for breakfast, show-and-tell, and chat at the Hometown Buffet
on 17th Street, just 2 blocks East of I-5.

To help celebrate National Bring-A-Friend day, you could...
(no, I do not know which day it is exactly, or even which Nation) :D
bring a friend!!!

Gather for breakfast with other good folks at the Hometown Buffet
on 17th street in Santa Ana just 2 blocks East of I5.

This coming Saturday, July 27th.
I should be there at about 8 AM, and remain until at least 11 AM.

I should be there this Saturday. I will talk briefly about power system protection which will be relevant to Orange County SDG&E customers. I don't think I will have my Brusa mounted, but I will talk about how we got Jason's up and running which was quite exciting. :)

I won't be able to make it.. have a wedding to go to

There are 2 new vids on the Brusa thread I posted so everyone can see. I've already planned time for the SD meet. Which kinda sucks because it's a further drive and no QC for me.

Maybe by next month I'll have 2 Brusa's

Have fun guys!

See you all there bright and early.

But I don't recommend that anyone sees me. Rather blotchy in the facial region due to chemical peel for sun damage.

I'll sit on one end of the table and look off into the distance, whilst still listening to the stimulating conversation.

No problem, dear friend, the latest medical condition is
just another subject for conversation between those who care.
Does it hurt?

I suspect that you are just having a competition with Tom.

But, if you are overly self-conscious about your condition,
I could just bring bags for each of us to wear! :D
However, it is awkward to shovel the omelet in through the hole in the bag.

Really great Gathering yesterday, with 3 new folks, about 7 LEAFs,
one Rav4-EV, and a Spark (which I missed getting to see).

We ran until about 1 PM, a bit longer than usual.
Jeremy explained the recent SDG&E blackout,
Tony showed very nice pictures of the BC2BC rally,
and we all learned something, I believe.

The award for most useful thing learned goes to a
a first-time member, who has been driving their 2012
LEAF for around 3 months... with great range anxiety. :?

They found out that the funny little cord thing packed
in the cargo area... could be used to charge their LEAF.

Hopefully the range anxiety will be reduced a bit if they
can leave the house with a full tank each morning! :D
Hopefully they will join us again, perhaps even in Cerritos.
