I've been watching the used prices of both and the two seem to be converging.

Used 2011 Toyota Prius I 52,969 miles $12,500 (with a stupid come on requirement that you finance 80% of purchase through dealer financing)
Used 2011 Nissan Leaf SL 49,432 miles $13,000

Given the lower cost per mile of the Leaf and the advantage of "refueling" at home I'd rather have the Leaf.

I'm thinking the Leaf will be cheaper than the Prius for the smart shopper in the near future.
