second, I think it will also have a beefier suspension to allow more towing capacity. Towing is the sekret ingredient.
Yes, increase that Cd for less efficiency.
Actually, the Model Y has the same or better Cd than the Model 3. You are trolling up the wrong tree.

I'm seriously hoping the charge port is not there...but this "concept" appears to be arriving showrooms next fall for deliveries in 2021.

I'm guessing a version with PP would be $45K OTD. So $37.5K after federal rebate.

Tokyo launch video seems to show the new car with a Chademo connection (V2H).

It's the Japanese model so of course it has Chademo charging. Notice that it's right hand drive as well. The US model could have CCS. Nissan would be smart to change to CCS for Europe and the U.S. since the majority of new charging stations will be either Combo or CCS only.

Because of VW-owned Electrify America stacking the deck?

CCS only? Even they aren't doing that, AFAIK.

Says who? Did Nissan say that? Source?

From watching the video, the car still seems way too concept-y and not something they would produce even for 2021.

Here's Nissan's press release: https://global.nissannews.com/en/releas ... motor-show.

I was at Tokyo Motor Show in late 2009 and saw the Leaf on stage (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-A3gyCc_Uk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rUCa2SA_Do). I have some pics of it still.

Here's a pic that year's motor show: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Le ... af_013.JPG. I have a pic of the basically the same thing but worse. https://imgur.com/a/27eA9qh is one I happen to have but not as zoomed in to include the door and more of the seat.

What they shipped in Dec 2010 wasn't that far off from that.

Seems like C&D is just guessing. I'm not sure how confident I am about that guess.

I agree that having a production car sold next year feels like a stretch given we haven’t seen any in the wild. I would bet a nickel that Y beats it to market.

That said, there is absolute urgency to have a competitive offering.

If they shaved 5K off the MSRP for the Leaf (and reduce discounts) it would do much better, but I know know if they really even want to sell more.

I don’t know In general if they can change their Corp culture enough to support the kind of change needed to truely be competitive in this new era.
