Yo Pipe. Thanks for sharing. So it is not a hoax ! Still waiting to see how it fairs in the cold and pot holes. I had to settle for a 2010 Prius last August. Awesome car, better than I imagined. Hard not to brag, especially at $3.54 a gallon. I may buy out the lease on the Prius for road...
For what it is worth... I cancelled my reservation for my Leaf due to the fact that my only other car died and I was forced to lease a 2010 Prius III. Not a Leaf but not a bad car for second place. I am not able to wait until winter of 2011 for a LEAF.
Nissan customer service called just now...
I was anticipating July, 2011. Now I will have nurse my car along VERY carefully. I am thinking that by next summer the EV world will be quite different, even in Minnesota. Home charging will be less expensive by then too... I hope.

Thanks for sharing the whole HOA experience with us. I may not see my LEAF until next year at this time but I feel like I should "grease the skids" as it were, with my HOA starting now. Hopefully things will smooth out by then. Leviton is looking pretty good right now.

Time to trade the canoe for a kayak and scrap the old school chain driven bicycle for one of these shaft driven rides.

Also no emissions. No dirty greasy chain to muss my new LEAFS interior.
I'm ready.

Is there any problem with running the charging cord from the charger up the wall, along the ceiling and drop down over the front of the Leaf? Maybe hang the cord from hooks(like bicycle hangers)? I would also use a spring loaded recoil to keep the plug out of the way when not in use. See any...
I am in Minnesota so I will be lucky to see mine before maybe this time next year. Things will work out the way they are supposed to. If i get one in two years, that is the way it goes. I believe Nissan is really trying to get it right. There is now second chance for them. I just do not...
I see I got one too. No real pressure here. Iam curious tosee what the first "run" will be like. Just nice to know I won't have to unplug my nav and radio everytime I park in public. I will wait. :)
2001 KIA RIO
149,000 miles, 30-34 mpg.
I hope it holds on until my Leaf gets here next year. 45 miles a day commute, she has been a pretty good little Mule. I have been waiting my whole 43 years to buy a car that I want. Not one I need to commute but it will help. Not one I need for the kids...
Anybody get an e-mail? I am really not planning on seeing one around here until next year at this time. I just don't want to miss out on any of the tax breaks on the charger and of course the car itself.
I just introduced myself to the Contact at Kline Nissan in Maplewood via e-mail and got a quick response. I know it will be a while so I don't want to be too time consuming yet. The contact said he was being "trained" on the Leaf now.
