    Chevrolet Bolt & Bolt EUV

No Leaf to compare, my signature has my info. It comes with a new type of self-sealing tires made by Michelin.

My article on Insideevs.com regarding the Bolt's interior space: http://insideevs.com/a-closer-look-at-the-bolt-ev-detailed-gallery/

    Chevrolet Bolt & Bolt EUV

Bolt passenger space is 94.4cf compared to Volt 90cf, Leaf 92cf, and i3 84cf. 56.6cf max cargo space with rear seats down. Lots of photos/screencaps:

I'm not a Leaf owner; I had a leased Volt for three years. I'm waiting for the Bolt to be available next year.

Are you talking about the charging stations by the Town Hall? There are also new chargers by the power company too. Pretty convenient when we go downtown.

    Gen 1 GM Volt Plug-In Hybrid (2011-2015)

Thanks for the link. One test showed 94.6% of original capacity after 70,766 miles. Another showed 96.4% after 60,131 miles. That's close enough for me.

    Gen 1 GM Volt Plug-In Hybrid (2011-2015)

No, GM doesn't warn of parking in sunlight. There have been pretty much zero Volts exhibiting battery degradation; even ones with 150k miles or more. The Volt has the most over-engineered and protected battery pack on the market.

    Gen 1 GM Volt Plug-In Hybrid (2011-2015)

Recently on the official Facebook chat, GM said the 4 vs 5 seats has not been announced yet (waiting until full January reveal). The reduction in the pack height may allow a fifth seat. The notch is the same as in the current battery. The pack increase to 20kWh as some speculate should easily...

    Gen 1 GM Volt Plug-In Hybrid (2011-2015)

For the ELR, I foresee one more production run early in 2015. Then a new model based on the new platform (D2XX) in 2016. Since the beginning, the ELR has been considered a limited production model with a short model life.

I think North Hills Shopping Center should get commended for having 4 L2 stations and a DCFC now. They seem to control ICEing well too. We need more committed retail like this at the major malls. (I'm looking at you Crabtree, Triangle Town, and Southpoint).

    Gen 1 GM Volt Plug-In Hybrid (2011-2015)

Dealership availability seems very low. I checked my closest eleven dealers and there are only 13 in stock. One of the dealers used to stock at least 6 by itself.

    Gen 1 GM Volt Plug-In Hybrid (2011-2015)

The Volt only does full throttle (even then it may not be full throttle) when in mountain mode with a very low SOC. Otherwise, the Volt has been tuned for NVH. There is a quote from a Volt engineer that states that NVH took precedence over MPG. If the Volt was optimized for full throttle, the...

    Gen 1 GM Volt Plug-In Hybrid (2011-2015)

I wouldn't mind a simpler and cheaper solution that uses the Spark EV electric motor/drivetrain with a smaller ICE (Atkinson with size in between the Volt and the i3 REx). I'm wondering how much GM will optimize Voltec in version 2.0.
