Upgrade Leaf suspension, make it a little stiffer

I drive my Leaf every day on a twisty mountain highway for 60 km each way. I would really like a stiffer suspension with less body roll. Can anyone suggest what I need to change to accomplish this. I enjoy the smooth ride but when you start leaning through the twists it gets a little unnerve.

What's your car charging experience been like? MIT Designers

I am responding to the person concerned about their level 1 charger being stolen. I was lucky I had an experienced Leaf owner show me how to deal with this. This charger is worth $1200 so you do not want to leave it siting in front of your car. What you want to do is open your engine lid and...

    An Auxiliary Battery Plug

I'm hopping this is still on the subject at hand. I commute 130 km round trip. In the summer I am having no problem. Come winter I am going to to have to charge to get home. Right now there is no convenient place to plug in at work. All I need is two more bars. Has anyone come up with an...

    Regenerating power with braking

I have owned my Leaf for 4 weeks. I have noticed with a full charge that I have no regen bubbles when I go down hill for the first 10km. I believe there is no room in the batteries for more power from the regen system. From my house it is mostly down hill for the first 10 km. It freaked me out...

    Turtle range

I had my Leaf down to Turtle mode the first week I owned it. I just had to know what it looked like. I ran the battery down to VLB. The three bars where flashing. I drove around the industrial park near my house till the turtle appeared. Unfortunately I made the mistake of shifting into park so...

    Post your Gas savings here

Ya these things will never pay off. I drive on average 150 km per day. My Subaru would use $600 worth of gas per month. I have put 3500km on my Leaf the first 4 weeks. It costs me $1.80 per day to charge my Leaf. Even if I drove 150km 30 days a month it would only cost me $54.00 per month. Ya...

So, owners what range are you getting ?

I'm a new Leaf owner and I tried an experiment today. I wanted to see what turtle mode was all about. My round trip to work is 141 km. I have yet to try a full trip without plugging in at work. Most of my trip is highway and up and down hills, sea level to 300 meters. I have been using the...

New Leaf Owner in British Columbia

Love all the great information from all you experience Leaf owners. I bought my Leaf to commute from Squamish to Vancouver. My round trip is 150 km per day. Most of my driving is highway 80 km per hour. Until I get use to the range I have been plugging in at work 110 volts. I have used the 240...

    Tire Advice

I was very intrigued by the spare tire mounted under the rear of your car. How is the tire secured to the car and how is it released when you need it? I have just ordered a spare tire for my new Leaf. My idea was to keep the spare at home and in the event that I needed the spare I would have my...

Charging from a Typical Dryer Plug

I installed my Level 2 charger in my garage myself. I already had a dryer plug for my welder. When I bought my GE charger I made sure I got one with the dryer plug attached not a hard wired charger. The only problem I had was the cord and plug coming from the charger is very short. I had to get...

Average Insurance Rate for a 2012 SL Nissan LEAF

We have owned our Leaf for two weeks. We traded my wife's ten year old Mustang GT convertible for our Leaf. We transferred the insurance from the Mustang to the Leaf and got a $351 rebate check from the insurance company. We paid $38000.00 for the Mustang when it was new and paid $38000.00 for...
