I printed out your request and gave to our fixed ops manager who does all of our ordering. Hopefully I can get him to order by then. I have also requested all accesories to be on site already, but hopefully giving him a request from a client will help him get on it! Thank you

John,
Can you get some "loaner" copies of the DVD that comes with the LEAF?

I suspect that many potential owners or customers would like to borrow one.

Also, if permitted by Nissan, a homemade CD with a copy of all the Owner's Manuals (in pdf) would be a handy (and very inexpensive) "handout" for "inquiring" customers. I could help with that if you can get permission to do this to "better support" your "customers".

Gary below is a link that I was able to obtain from the Nissan Leaf EV support team

PDF file of the owners manual, Im working on how to receive the "quick reference guide DVD" that would come along with this also... Hope it helps

Allright so the meeting on Feburary 12th to be held @ Cerritos Nissan has been GRANTED ! :D . We have 3 onsite level 2 chargers available, as well as a couple trickle charge options available. We'll be offering "Good" coffee lol, beverages, pastries, and breakfast options. Followed by open discussion with myself as well as a Certified Leaf Technician to help answer the questions and concerns from general information to questions about about battery packs, regen settings, SW updates, etc. I also relayed request of several members, to have accesories available on site to purchase / view Vehicle Covers,Cargo Organizer, and other LEAF specific accesories. I'm excited and honored to have some support of the members on this forum. The most important aspect of this meeting is YOU the owners / members of this zero emissions movement. I dont want this to be portrayed as a "Cerritos Nissan Event". So in the following days / weeks YOUR input would be greatly appreciated. Specifically on what to discuss, questions to be answered, and any other way We can assist you in helping the education and advancement of EV's. The more input ahead of time, will allow me to go to work to get answers and supplies for us to make it a learning expirence as well as I'm sure we will learn from you. I look foward to meeting you all and thank you again for the support

Also I have estimated up to about 20 people attending. Family and friends as well as non leaf owners are welcome. Please try to communicate / rsvp so I can make sure I have enough beverages/breakfast and materials to go around

:D

Perhaps you guys can get a tech to hook a LEAF to the computer and check any regen parameter settings that could be modified:)

I've has several people ask for us to do this, which I am all for (if permitted) LOL . But I wouldn't want to get in over our head for the very first meeting, and overwhelm ourselves. Saturday is always our most hectic day in the service department We're located in the Cerritos Auto square ( united states largest auto mall) but if time and the oppurtunity is there absolutely. If not we can always schedule another meeting and discuss parameter settings more in depth pros/cons etc during the week when less hectic.

Well, we have managed to spend at least some of our meeting time socializing and getting to know each other! :D

John,
We have all the pdf Manuals, I think, with the latest being the Navigation Manual. Of course, the on-line versions might not be the same "Revision" as the printed Manuals. Are they different? Which one is "later"?

What we do not have is permission to collect them (like on a CD) and make them easily available to others. Maybe you can work on that aspect?

I could have them on a Flash Drive and just copy them to other people's computer or flash drive.

Hints on getting to Cerritos Nissan (please correct me if I am wrong):

Cerritos Nissan
18707 Studebaker
Cerritos, CA

Use the South Street exit off of 605 (just south of the 91 freeway), go west one short block to Studebaker Road, turn right (north), and Cerritos Nissan is about 0.2 miles north, on the left, just before Auto Square Drive.

Yes, it is the same exit as for HTB, but west of 605 instead of east of 605.

I will plan to be there shortly after 8:00 AM, if possible, with 8:30 to 11:00 (or so) as the "expected" Gathering times. Due to variable transit times, some will arrive "early" and others a bit later.

John,
When might there be a "slack" time in Service, when we might try to schedule a "Technical Gathering"?

Then, your LEAF techs could try:
1. A look at the internal settings available via the CAN bus.

2. A Battery Pack "health check" and Report.

Of course, I realize that your LEAF techs MIGHT not have the equipment (or training) to do these things quite yet.

Thoughts, anybody?
