Allright, I have worked out to where we can have some test performed on the LEAF @ the Feb 12th meeting here @ Cerritos Nissan. (Regen settings, parameters, per earlier request :D

Also, I also have a update for some accessories to be on site and we will be placing the order within the next 48 hrs. (Car covers, cargo organizers etc)

MOST IMPORTANT! If I can please have all members submit any and all questions on the more technical side of the LEAF. This way I can have our Service Director and service Tech prepared with as many answers as possible. Some will be answered by some of the Test performed then, but your input will absolutely help us be more prepared. Thank you again , and getting more excited about our meeting!! Look foward to meeting you all

(Mainly because Saturday our Service department will be swamped, So we can make more of the time we can get from our Service director and certified tech)

Sounds like this will be a great meetup! I wish I could be there (i'm participating in a trail run at O'Neill Regional Park)
I'm looking forward to hearing all about it :D

We do not need to do everything at once.
But, a list of questions would be useful.
So, to get started:

1. When can you do a Battery Checkup on a new LEAF, and how much would it cost us?

2. How much does a "spare" rim and tire cost, and when can you get them?

3. When can you get a set of white (or other matching color) splash-guards, at what cost? Is that installed? How about the not-installed cost?

4. Do forum members get a VIP discount?

5. Information (and settings?) are lost if the 12v is disconnected. Is there a Backup and Restore function to prevent the loss?

6. Are your ECSEs available 24/7?

7. When will you have seat covers for the LEAF?

8. What is the speedometer error?

9. Can the clock be adjusted to keep time properly?

10. Why is the Outside Air Temperature inaccurate at lower (and other?) temperatures? Can it be calibrated?

Looks like I can't make it either sadly, but I would really like to know:

1. +1 to ability to increase regen strength closer to Mini-E as option

2. Can we set Eco as the default drive mode with D as the double tap?

3. Possible to get a % State of Charge toggled on for the gauges instead of mileage estimate? :)

4. Otherwise, measure of the battery drain from climate control with fan on but temp cranked down no AC. It throws the mile estimate way off in my experience. It reduces prediction by 5-8 miles and seems to actually have no effect at all.

5. Personal plee: Any info on the Nav address book storage point exports. See thread http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=2483 . I have decoded the format and can add points but there are annoying things not understood (how it marks them as chargepoints different from the icon outside the data as example). If I could get a tech that understands it or a contact with the software creators we get useful data that is missing to drivers.

Thanks for the input, Please fill free to keep adding questions... Looking foward to it! Hoping for a great turn out, and looking foward to meeting with you all :D .. .

It was incorrect information, accidently reported here in an attempt to be helpful, but the OP preferred that his thread be deleted. He apologised to us.

There had to be some grain of truth to the information. I'm sure he did not just make it up completely, but rather misunderstood some information he got from Nissan. There may be 8 demo cars headed to SoCal in April, but not to one dealership. Deleting threads is not helpful, just post a correction and apology. I'm still curious as to what was said to the dealership, and how it was misunderstood.

I've been working on Johnny's Focus all afternoon, and just got in from the garage. So I'm hungry and need a beer. It was pretty cool, and I really thank Cerritos Nissan for hosting us. I'll elaborate more tomorrow, when I'm fresh as a daisy. I even have a couple of photos (filling in for you, naturally). :)

It was great, Boomer. We had about 13 people there, Some of the new faces to me were folks who belong to this forum but I had not meet before. I believe we had 3 LEAFs present (Mal, Sparky, and Mike) and one electric Mini hailing from Ventura County with Matt. Cerritos Nissan was super with a buffet breakfast for us in an upper conference room area. Some accessories were available to view including a cargo organizer which I bought and took home with me. The dealership offered 20% off all accessories to forum members. Those with EVs took turns rotating through the 3 available public charging stations (AV type). There is also another AV set up in the bay where LEAF service will take place. We were allowed to go into this bay and some of us viewed the tools that will be used to service the LEAF. We had a free following questions and commentary session around a big conference table and there were many side conversations throughout the morning as well. Lots of folks awaiting April delivery of their cars. Matt provided detail about how he stopped at an RV park on his way to SF in his EV Mini and pays $20 there to fill up using a 240 plug in. He has been to other RV parks looking for a charge as well and if they are not sure how to bill him for this access because they have never had anyone ask for it before for an EV, he suggests they call it a "dump fee" which RV parks do know how to bill for and it is usually $20. There never seems to be a lack of topics to discuss!
Missed you, Boom! Not the same without you....hope the first birthday party for your granddaughter was great!

I liked it there, wouldn't mind going back. John is knowledgeable and did his best to answer all the questions. I especially liked having the EVSEs there. Thanks again to Cerritos Nissan for hosting!

I don't want to impose on Cerritos Nissan but if they feel they are benefitting as well, then I am all for going back there as our regular monthly spot. I say "impose" because I would want to have breakfast like we did. If they are willing to keep doing that, then I am for going there. If not, I am fine with Cerritos HTB.

I think we should have an understanding with John at Cerritos that if, at any time, they do not want to host anymore, that is fine. They just have to let us know and no hard feelings. I would like Gary to continue to be the point person and branch manager/coordinator if he is willing. It sure was great to see all the EVs charging up and that was a great side benefit to that location clearly.

And thanks again to John at Cerritos for arranging everything.
