80% vs 100% charning settings question

New owner here and have a general question regarding setting 100% charging vs 80% charging.

Is the only way to set up 80% charging through a timer in the dash menu?

Otherwise, if I plug to charge without setting a timer, will it charge to 100% always?

Yes to both questions.

The only way is to touch the blue "e" in the lower right hand corner of the nav screen, then go to your charging timer settings, and choose 80% there. Since I have variable work hours, I get to reset this every day :lol: although there is an override switch lower left of the steering wheel.
(my blankety blank dealer knew nothing about this btw)

I find myself going into the timer constantly as well as my situation changes. I really wish I could program it from the app on my phone or through the website.
