Just crossed 100,000 miles on my Leaf after 8 +years, still 12 bars, 60.00 AH on the new battery (3 years old) got replaced on the last day of the 5 years warranty :D . Still can do 70-80 miles per charge depending on the speed, looks like there are at least another 50K miles to be put on :P
You are right, it has been exactly two weeks since I got the car, and I got the phone call from Robert of A-1 that they are coming to install the Blink on Monday.
I absolutely agree! my normal commute is 40 miles each way (37miles HWY with some hilly conditions), and I do keep the speed at 57mph with tire pressure at ~39psi, I use 4 bars on my way to work (high to low elevation) and 6 bars on my way home (low to high elevation). I also had 4 adults and 1...
I have had the car fro 6 days now, and have put 400 miles on it, mostly 80 miles round trip on 280 (lots of up and downs, 200-450-200-700-150-700-8 ft in elevations), mostly in 55-60 mph range, and was able to get 4.3mi/kwh on the dash board.
This morning, I did let myself off the ECO mode...
Had my LEAF since last Friday, already put 320 miles on it. However, I still have not got any phone call from the BLINK installation guy. I was told by the EVP rep that I was on the priority list, and they have forwarded my information to Bay area local office for scheduling installation...
Took a trip from Cupertino to Gilroy Outlet today with 4 adults and 1 kid in the car (fully loaded!). Started out with SOC 100% and 111 miles estimated, all the way on EOC and back. 95% highway at 55 miles/hr. made it back with 1 bar left and 10 miles est on the DB after this 80 miles round...
Will take my LEAF delivery tomorrow, and checked with my Farmers insurance agent, the total insurance quote for my LEAF is ~780 per YEAR, and that is with $500 deductible and $500,000 liability, uninsured motorist. It is even 15$ cheaper than my 5 years old Hyundai Sonata :D
Finally with the help of Brendan, my LEAF is in, and will pick it up tomorrow morning.
READY to enjoy the new toy
Boardwalk Nissan had 20 LEAFs in today.
Yes, everyone's situation is unique. Here is how I calculate the benefit of owning a LEAF in California (obviously it is a simplified calculation as many of you might point out, but I think it will make the point) :
I have a 5 year old Hyundai Sonata V6 with 100K miles (so 20K miles/year), a...
May 14 is open for me as well. From Cupertino to Alameda Library, that is almost 50 miles though, so charging will be needed. (Do hope that I have my LEAF by then :-)
Lisa:
I agree, mine went from April 6 to April 26 to 28 in 3 days, and then NIssan called to let me know that it is on the way. I think that we all should receive the cars next week!
Got a call from Nissan that my car is ready to go at the port, AC has been fixed on April 19. Also received the 7 day notice. Nissan CS is also helping me to get Etec installation before the delivery now. :D
Maybe, just maybe, I am finally an April delivery.
Just checked my DB, and suddenly, everything is wide open - pre-purchase check list and own, with my estimated delivery - here is the kick - week of April 6, 2011 :?:
Well, I can call Brendan tomorrow to follow up on exactly what this means now.
